CULTURE NEWS

  • Clark State College’s Performing Arts Center, which opened in 1993, remains a cultural hub in Springfield, featuring the 1,500-seat Kuss Auditorium that hosts the Springfield Symphony Orchestra & community events. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Wittenberg University named Kristen Collier director of the Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Civic Engagement effective immediately after serving as interim director since September 2025. The 1992 alumna built strong community partnerships and will now lead efforts to connect the campus and Springfield groups.  Springfield News-Sun
  • Cedarville University will host its annual Shark Tank-style competition, The Pitch, on Friday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Jeremiah Chapel while student entrepreneurs present faith-driven business ideas and the winning team will receive $1,000 to help bring their concept to life.  Springfield News-Sun
