- ➤ A district court judge in Washington blocked the termination of Temporary Protected Status for Haitians (including a Springfield resident), and the community now awaits the outcome as the government appeals the ruling. Springfield News-Sun

- ➤ Ohio Kids Dental will open March 2 at 1416 W. First St. in Springfield to serve children up to age 17 with Medicaid-accepted dental care, mobile dentistry for schools, and community outreach programs — an effort to meet a pressing local need. Springfield News-Sun
- ➤ Northwestern High School senior AJ Grieser leads the $25K Box Out Cancer campaign in memory of his cousin, aiming to fund blood cancer research and patient education.
