  • Singer-songwriter Kyshona will perform songs from her album Legacy (focusing on family) at Clark State Performing Arts Center for the Club Kuss series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Springfield City Schools dismissed students early Monday amid safety concerns; families picked up children at their building’s main entrance or Springfield High School at 11:30 a.m.—officials advised local drivers to use alternate routes to avoid downtown near the police division.  Springfield News-Sun
  • Clark State College’s Dawayne Kirkman will lead a workshop titled Matters of the Heart: Connections and Relationships on March 11 at 12 p.m. to share strategies that help educators build relationships supporting first-generation college students in Springfield (registration closes March 8).  Clark State College

HEALTH NEWS

  • Gov. DeWine and Health Partners of Western Ohio launched OhioSEE at Northeastern Elementary School on Monday to offer free eye exams and glasses to K-3 students in 15 high-need counties (including Montgomery and Butler counties).
