- ➤ Downtown may soon see a Culver’s if the Springfield City Commission moves forward with a purchase agreement for the former Executive Inn site at 325 W. Columbia St + the 1.2-acre property is valued at $1.3 million with a second reading scheduled next week. Springfield News-Sun

- ➤ GISA is expanding its Upper Academy on Clark State’s campus with a new 32,000 sqft facility to serve more high school students; construction began in October 2025 and will finish in fall 2027, moving ninth graders to the modern space while the current building continues for grades 6-8. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Food and Drug Administration upgraded a peanut butter recall on Feb. 12 after finding blue plastic in 23,435 cases, with shipments reaching Springfield through major distributors. Ventura Foods initially issued the recall in April 2025, so customers should check their products for safety. WHIO
