- ➤ Second Harvest Food Bank has released dates for its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser, with events in Clark County on March 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Champaign County on April 2 from 5 to 8:00 p.m., and Logan County on April 3 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Participants will donate $20 or $10 for children under 12 to receive a handcrafted bowl and enjoy soup from local restaurants — all funds will support the food bank that assisted over 56,000 people in 2024. - ➤ The Springfield-Beckley Air National Guard Base hosted Advanced Wrath, a training exercise where the Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle—loaned from a Syracuse Guard unit—supported missions with the Air Force Research Laboratory, FAA, DOT, and Coast Guard. Lt. Col. Zachary Eaton said the tests, which included search-and-rescue drills, inert bomb drops, and targeting improvements, are part of efforts to permanently station the Reaper at the base.
