Springfield’s 60th Summer Arts Festival opens with a 60th anniversary event on May 29 at Turner Studio Theatre and features tribute bands, family shows and original acts at local venues beginning June 11 — including Broadway in the Park’s Tarzan and a patriotic concert by the Springfield Symphony on July 3.

Springfield will soon have a pet urgent care at 1426 Mitchell Blvd. for small animals.

The clinic is set to open by late spring with hours (4-10 p.m.) Friday through Tuesday and will address urgent pet needs.
