Six Springfield City School District alumni will be honored at the 21st Alumni of Distinction Awards on Friday, Apr.
24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott — Downtown Springfield, 100 S. Fountain Ave, with public admission at $34 and reservations due by Apr. 17.
Tonya Collinsworth, who loved playing school as a child, is receiving the Excellence in Teaching Award today along with three other Clark County teachers.
The award, presented by local sponsors including the Rotary Club+partners, honors her dedication to teaching science and engaging students.
