Springfield officials announced that a new McDonald’s location will start construction soon.

The work is expected to take three months (project to begin shortly) with the restaurant planned to open by summer.

Patrick Sheehan, president of Sheehan Brothers Vending, has created a memorial fund at the Springfield Foundation to honor his late wife, Jessica Ross Sheehan.

The fund will offer future scholarships for Ohio University students + provide educational and grief support for the community.
