- ➤ Springfield Symphony Orchestra will perform Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Clark State Performing Arts Center’s Kuss Auditorium using a new text critical edition of the score and extra musicians to complete its roster. - ➤ After a school bus crash on State Route 41 in August 2023 left his daughter scared, Springfield father Mark Sanders left retirement to become a bus driver with the district and now drives his own route—he hopes his new job will help keep students safe and remind drivers to slow down near buses.
