- ➤ The Second District Court of Appeals affirmed Hermanio Joseph's 2024 conviction for causing the August 2023 school bus crash in Clark County that killed 11-year-old Aiden Clark — sentencing him to nine to 13.5 years in prison. WHIO
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The USDA cut funding for the Ohio CAN program (formerly known as the LFPA program) that helped local food banks get fresh produce and will end after June 30, leaving over 170 local farmers (farmers, growers and food producers) without a key revenue source and food banks with less access to healthy food. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Most of the region escaped major damage from Wednesday night’s storms when strong winds and heavy rain swept through and several tornado warnings were issued. Heavy rain is expected to continue through the weekend as a flood watch remains in effect until 8 a.m. Sunday — local officials advise residents to monitor updates — and crews are ready to respond to any flooding issues.
