- ➤ Harrison Township installed new ADA-compliant swings at the local park on April 5 to help more families enjoy playtime (including children of all abilities). The accessible design shows the township’s commitment to an inclusive community. WHIO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Transportation crews are repairing roads and making improvements that will cause ramp and lane closures with detours across several counties. Drivers should plan extra travel time on routes including Needmore Road, U.S. 36, and U.S. 127 (follow posted signs for updated detours). Springfield News-Sun
- ➤ Planners in the Springfield 2051 project have collected over 2,000 community responses via surveys and listening sessions to shape the city's vision for the next 25 years. They will continue gathering ideas for six months & then lay out a master plan. WYSO
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Courtyard at Centerville is offering its Day Away program for dementia care from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, letting caregivers have a break while their loved ones join safe, engaging activities; fees are $70 per day or $60 for residents. Springfield News-Sun
