- ➤ Springfield artist Nathan Conner was hired by Leep to create a Negro Leagues-themed painting for a commemorative auction celebrating baseball history at Rickwood Field, and his black-and-white piece will be finished before the event. Wittenberg University has cut staff and programs after receiving a financial distress status from the Higher Learning Commission—while Antioch College has restructured operations and Central State University will work with state officials to improve finances—measures aimed at stabilizing these institutions for the future.
