- ➤ Local business owner Kari Johnston started a fundraising drive for a mobile wheelchair lift after a bridesmaid could not access a wedding stage. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Clark County high school students from 11 schools attended a Greater Springfield Partnership event to build career skills by working on their resumes, interview techniques, and time management. They will attend interviews on May 1 and begin 8-12 week internships in June—offering them hands-on experience for future jobs. Springfield News-Sun
- ➤ Wittenberg University held its 2025 Honors Convocation on April 4 at the Weaver Chapel in Dayton—awarding D. Scot Hinson the Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Teaching and Professor Emily West the Omicron Delta Kappa Faculty Excellence Award and Academic Advisor of the Year Award. The event also honored two Alma Lux students, six seniors with a 4.0 GPA including Springfield’s Macy DeHart, and a group of Presidential Scholars. WDTN
- ➤ Springfield-Clark CTC's summer camp offers 23 hands-on sessions that let young students explore careers in fields such as arts, health, cosmetology, science, trades, and business — campers from rising fourth to eighth grades are welcome.
