Springfield will host the National Advanced Air Mobility Forum Oct.
8-9 followed by the modern Pulitzer Electric Aircraft Race Oct. 10-13 at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport — a revival of a century-old event last held in 1924. The race will feature zero-emission, fully electric aircraft with 24 crews competing on a 90 nautical mile closed-circuit triangular course for the Pulitzer Trophy and recognition at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
