- ➤ The American Power Boat Association moved its headquarters from Detroit to the Clark County Fairgrounds in Springfield, with local native Dana Potts saying the lake is perfect for races. The organization signed a nearly two-decade lease and will add three full-time and two part-time jobs — a boost for local business and events. WHIO
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Springfield police responded to a shots-fired call on the east side at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, executing a high-risk search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of Raffensperger Avenue (near St. Vincent de Paul) and finding no injuries as they collected evidence while the investigation continues. - ➤ Departments across the region will host collection events on Saturday where residents can drop off unused medications to help prevent overdose risks. Since the program began, it has removed 19.2 million pounds of drugs & the weight equals about 1,600 elephants. WHIO
