- ➤ Clark County Public Library will participate in Free Comic Book Day on May 2. All branches will host activities including comic trivia (at 12 and 2 p.m.) and creative workshops that invite comic fans and young readers to celebrate the event. Springfield News-Sun
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Springfield City Commissioner Larry Ricketts will speak at the Southeast Neighborhood Association meeting at 7 p.m. April 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church (corner of Sunset and S. Belmont Avenues). Parking is available in the church lot with entry via a covered walkway through the brown door. Springfield News-Sun
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Mobile vision and dental visits provided by Rocking Horse’s School Based Health Center at Springfield High School are winding down for the school year. The vision van will serve elementary schools until Thursday, April 30 and dental visits (at Roosevelt Middle School) will end on May 12 as new clinic construction begins in early June.
