GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Clark County Department of Reentry held a simulation event that let community leaders and citizens experience the obstacles faced by former inmates reentering society. Participants acted out roles and tackled challenges like securing housing and jobs (to show real-life barriers) while local partners including ThinkTank, Inc. provided guidance (bringing practical insights).  Springfield News-Sun
  • Ohio lawmakers advanced House Bill 15, which will go to Gov. DeWine’s desk in 10 days with bipartisan support to repeal parts of House Bill 6 that added charges to subsidize OVEC coal plants; the measure is part of efforts to overhaul energy policy to attract new businesses. Other bills to regulate Delta-8 products+ban police quotas and honor former House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson also passed and now head for further review in the legislature.  WDTN
