  • ➤ A pickup truck lost control on Buck Creek Lane and crashed into C.J. Brown Lake near Springfield Friday night, injuring the driver who was taken to a local hospital by a friend + recovery teams closed the Buck Creek boat launch as they worked to remove the vehicle.  Springfield News-Sun

  • ➤ Freshman quarterback Jayden Miller turned his season around last fall by throwing 16 touchdowns in four games after a slow start, helping Wittenberg clinch wins against lower-ranked teams. Coach Jim Collins said Miller’s hard work—watching film and training in the weight room—has set the stage for fall camp starting Aug. 12 and the season opener on Sept. 6 against Baldwin Wallace.  Springfield News-Sun
