CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Veteran rockers Aronhalt and Sandow will release their new album at the State Theater on May 10 from 7—11 p.m., performing seven new original songs. The event also pays tribute to drummer Doug Gibson—whose contributions shaped the band before his death last December. Springfield News-Sun
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A local school administrator was placed on leave after a complaint of inappropriate conduct — the school district said it is investigating the matter. WHIO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Springfield officials said they will clear the homeless camp from Snyder Park today to help residents move into housing. City workers left warnings on tents and will work with local shelters and community partners for a safe transition — the park will then begin its beautification project. WHIO
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, the FDA announced that Ray Mascari Inc. recalled four-count vine-ripe tomatoes sold at Gordon Food Service after learning that a lot from Hanshaw Capling Farms might be contaminated with salmonella. No illnesses have been reported and customers in Springfield who bought the recalled tomatoes should throw them away. WDTN
