- ➤ A Springfield man—Raekwon Hall, 26—pleaded guilty for discharging a firearm at a home in November and was sentenced to four to six years in prison in connection with a police chase on the east side while four others face pending charges. Springfield News-Sun

- ➤ Springfield hosts the National Robotics League competition at the Clark County Fairgrounds today where nearly 40 high school teams from states such as California, Missouri, and Texas will battle battle bots in the Mercantile building. - ➤ Clark State College will offer a bachelor’s degree nursing program this fall at its Springfield campus with an initial class of 15 students expected to grow to 90 by the fourth year — the program is designed for licensed nurses who already hold an associate degree and includes both online and face-to-face courses.
