Clark County Land Bank, Park District & local community stakeholders are planning to revitalize the southwest side of Springfield with a new park at 504 W.
Euclid Ave that will have basketball and pickleball courts, a playground, swing sets, and other play equipment. They will also build an apartment development near the sunflower field and 10 single-family homes as part of efforts that have already allocated $500,000 with additional donations sought to complete the project.

Springfield Home and Hardware, a store that opened in 1945, is closing permanently after 80 years and is holding a liquidation sale that started May 12 and will continue until May 17.
The store—located at 2982 Derr Road in Northland Plaza Shopping Center—is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
