- ➤ Dylan Frederick—17 and a student at Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center and Shawnee High School recognized for his digital media design work—was killed in a Saturday afternoon crash in Springfield Twp. when his BMW failed to yield at the intersection of U.S. 68 and Springfield Xenia Road and hit a ditch after being struck by a Ford F-350. - ➤ Springfield police, fire, and hazmat crews responded Tuesday afternoon to a train car derailment on the 400 block of East North Street after wheat spilled into a nearby waterway—environmental crews assessed the impact. WHIO

- ➤ A vacant Burger King property is scheduled for demolition and will be replaced by a new wings and fish restaurant that serves chicken wings and tenders — construction details and a timeline have not yet been released. WHIO

- ➤ Katharine Holder, 39, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and three counts of aggravated vehicular assault in a Springfield Twp. crash on April 25th that killed 44-year-old Ryan Botkin, and she will serve at least 12 years in prison with her license suspended for 20 years—she ran a red light on Fairfield Pike. - ➤ Early Tuesday, Clark County deputies in Springfield chased a stolen vehicle that ran a red light on North Limestone Street and caused a crash with no injuries — officers arrested a suspect on charges of failure to comply and receiving stolen property amid 17 stolen vehicle incidents reported since May 1. - ➤ Danielle Gillam suffered a stroke and received TNK 46 minutes after arriving at Mercy Health, and her rapid recovery shows that calling 911 without delay is vital.
