BUSINESS NEWS

  • One of Clark County's last bowling alleys closed after a July 3, 2025 fire and ongoing insurance challenges. Northridge Lanes (1333 Moorefield Road), owned by Regina and Bo Kearney, will be sold to new operators who can continue serving the community.  Springfield News-Sun

CULTURE NEWS

  • On Friday, May 15, a large crowd visited the Antique Show & Flea Market Extravaganza at Clark County Fairgrounds, where locals browsed vintage finds and antiques. Booths featured offerings from sellers like George the Antique Nomad and 43 Travel N’ Treasure.  Springfield News-Sun

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The New Carlisle Rotary honored three Clark County educators for Outstanding Teacher of the Year awards by giving them commemorative bells made by a local teacher+ Beth Stasiak from Northwestern Jr./Sr. High School, along with Angie Jones and Amy Moore from Tecumseh schools, were recognized for their commitment to teaching.  Springfield News-Sun
  • Graduation photos of Clark County’s top students are now on display as schools celebrate academic success. The pictures were taken during recent ceremonies and give community members a clear view of these new graduates’ achievements.  Springfield News-Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Local agencies are promoting seat belt safety as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign running May 11 to 31. A press conference is set for 1 p.m. Thursday, May 21 (at 529 E. Home Road) where law enforcement and health officials will stress buckling up.  Springfield News-Sun

HEALTH NEWS

  • Chloe Walker (15) is stable after a science experiment at Greeneview High School caused burns over 40 percent of her body, and local groups, along with Jamestown Café hosting an event on Sunday, are organizing fundraisers to help her family with medical costs.  WHIO
