  • Brick Base Lego shop on Bechtle Avenue in Springfield offers a build-your-own hero area where kids can create minifigures using original kits—owner Dan Jacob said his sets include Bible stories and historical icons. EDUCATION NEWS

  • The annual Solar Splash is taking place at Champions Park Lake at the Clark County Fairgrounds from June 3-7, where college teams from North America, Japan, Turkey and more race their hand-built solar-powered boats. Organizers say students are judged on speed, design and technical reports — a challenge that offers real hands-on experience with solar energy — and the event highlights sustainable transportation.  Springfield News-Sun
