Wright State alum Nicole Scherzinger won her first Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her role as Norma Desmond in the revival of Sunset Boulevard today in New York — she studied musical theatre at Wright State from 1996 to 1999 and received the Alumna of the Year Award in 2017.
