- ➤ Six Springfield High School theater students were honored on June 5 at the Miami Valley High School Theater Awards for their work on the musical 'The Addams Family.' Their talents in props design, set design, lighting, acting, and choreography were recognized from a pool of 39 local schools—highlighting strong community support for the arts. WDTN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sugarcreek Township will unveil a new Veterans Memorial in August at the corner of Pine Court and Upper Bellbrook Road to honor local veteran Jim 'Pee Wee' Martin, a paratrooper during World War II who fought on D Day. The memorial will include flags, monuments for all military branches and a 7 to 8 foot statue showing Martin as he jumped from his plane in Normandy — a project that fulfills a long-held vision by township officials.
