- ➤ Some employees at Gabe’s Distribution Center in southeast Springfield were sent home amid allegations of discrimination and harassment, NAACP President Denise Williams said. The workers were told not to speak with media or the NAACP and received no timeline for a return or paycheck as corporate leaders have refused comment. Springfield News-Sun
- ➤ The Miami Valley fireworks list shows upcoming celebrations with dates, times, and locations—ranging from June 28 to July 6. Springfield will host its display on July 3 at 10pm at Buck Creek State Park. WHIO

- ➤ The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services announced that eligible families will receive $120 per school-age child from the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program this June to help cover food costs while schools are closed. Families on SNAP, cash assistance, or Medicaid will have benefits loaded onto their Ohio Direction Cards—new recipients will be sent a card by mail—ensuring access at authorized retailers. WHIO
