Good morning, Springfield. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 14th of June.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • The longtime bowling alley in Springfield has a new owner and will reopen on June 17 with limited hours—staffing will be expanded later.  WHIO

CRIME NEWS

  • The OSHP Springfield Post issued 115 seat belt citations and arrested 10 impaired drivers during the Click it or Ticket campaign from May 19 to June 1—an effort to remind local drivers to buckle up for safety.  Springfield News-Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Department of Homeland Security sent email notices today telling some immigrants that their legal status and work permits are revoked effective immediately — a move that includes a $1,000 bonus for departing via the CBP Home app. Local Haitian leaders say many migrants feel trapped since returning to an unsafe Haiti or moving to Canada is not a viable option given limited resources.  Springfield News-Sun
  • The Ohio House passed a bill on Wednesday by a 92–0 vote that requires imitation meat and egg products to display clear labels and may remove lab-grown meats from food stamp eligibility and school purchases. The measure now moves to the Senate and is meant to ensure honesty in food labeling—without banning these products entirely.  Springfield News-Sun
