The Clark County Dog Shelter is full and now offers $77 adoptions at 5201 Urbana Road to help speed up dog adoptions—this fee covers spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, license, and a free vet check.

The shelter houses 41 dogs and operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from noon to 5 p.m.—and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Ahead of summer thunderstorms, AES held a press event to explain its plans for managing outages—line operations manager Andrew Jacobs said weekly meetings help secure enough crews, including 47 union linemen plus extra contractors, to restore power quickly and urged customers to keep a safe distance from downed lines.

Clark County's Community and Economic Development Department has increased its Retail Development Project Fund grant from $20,000 to $50,000 to help recruit and expand brick-and-mortar businesses — with eligibility based on sales tax generation and fixed asset investment — and Evans Family Ranch previously used the funds to convert an office building into a retail space. Businesses must now invest over $1 million to receive the larger grant as the county aims to boost its retail environment.
