- ➤ Culture Cafe, a new African cafe that will offer east African coffee, tea & pastries from local bakers, is set to have soft openings after Aug. 1 in north Springfield while renovations continue on its 1920s Murray Street building to provide a quiet space for the community. Springfield News-Sun
- ➤ Allison Road is a five-member country rock band that will perform at the Music Heals Benefit Concert on Saturday, June 21 at the State Theater — an event honoring Parker Fulk’s 5-year-old relative with leukemia — and at the upcoming Celebrate Springfield! concert.
