- ➤ For the rest of 2025, Springfield’s Haitian Support Center is hosting legal clinics to help Haitian immigrants whose TPS ends on Aug. 3. Columbus-based attorney Inna Simakovsky said immigrants may apply for asylum, green cards through marriage, or by having a U.S.-born adult child — she urged them to work with counsel to organize their documents amid new filing rules. - ➤ On Friday afternoon, Springfield police responded at 12:42 p.m. to the 500 block of Park Place—two people were reportedly shot and the extent of injuries remains unknown as the investigation continues. WDTN
- ➤ Timothy Coleman, convicted in 1996 for shooting a police informant, has had his execution date moved from October 30th to Sept. 13th, 2028 due to issues with the supply of lethal injection drugs + this change follows a pause on executions since Governor DeWine took office. Springfield News-Sun
