Haitian community leader Vilès Dorsainvil addressed the impact of the Supreme Court ruling to end TPS for Haitians during a press conference at Central Christian Church on Thursday, June 25, warning that many could lose jobs and driver’s licenses as advocates gathered at City Hall Plaza to plan next steps.
On Thursday, June 25, Viles Dorsainvil, president of the Haitian Community Help and Support Center, spoke at Springfield City Hall Plaza to support Haitians following a Supreme Court decision ending temporary protected status.
Hundreds gathered + local voices joined to back the rally.
Dr. Blondin, president of Clark State College, was named to the Dayton Business Journal’s Power 100 list and will retire on Tuesday, June 30.
She led the college for 13 years, expanding programs + strengthening workforce partnerships to boost student success.
Springfield’s Tecumseh Building at 34 W.
High St. has been awarded state tax credits as part of a statewide historic preservation program, state officials said Wednesday. The 10-story building will be transformed into apartments plus a distillery while keeping its original terrazzo floors and tilework.
