The 11th annual Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition will occur on August 16th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Veterans Park where 27 food trucks will battle for prizes including a $5,000 grand prize—while the event offers live music, a beer garden and a new arts and crafts show that support community projects.

Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio announced that its health centers at 1061 N Bechtle Ave. in Springfield and 11 Ludlow St. in Hamilton will close on Aug.
1 due to funding cuts—other centers in Dayton and Cincinnati will remain open. This decision will reduce access to reproductive health care in these communities.
