- ➤ On July 24, 2025, after a police chase in Clark County, officers took one person into custody and continued to search for other suspects—leaving more at large. WHIO
- ➤ Marcus J. Hasan, 28, made two 911 calls from a north Springfield home on Wednesday—first during a heated argument with his girlfriend and later after he fatally shot her; police arrived at about 3:49 p.m. and arrested him on charges of murder, felonious assault and domestic violence. - ➤ Springfield man Edwin Avery, 42, was sentenced Tuesday to four-and-a-half years in prison for his role in a shooting that injured four people last summer near York Street + he filed an appeal immediately. Springfield News-Sun
