  • The Ohio Department of Natural Resources invites landowners to plant grassland habitats to help restore bird populations such as bobwhite quail—landowners may receive grants from a $9 million fund and free technical assistance through agreements lasting one to four years.  WYSO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Springfield officials cleared the Snyder Park homeless encampment after a three-month cleanup funded with federal dollars instead of general funds. The director said the city will continue to work with local partners to address homelessness—calling it a multifaceted issue in need of long-term solutions.  Springfield News-Sun

HEALTH NEWS

  • An Ohio couple welcomed quintuplets on August 11 at a local hospital—reports say the mother and babies are healthy. They now begin their new life as a growing family with support from OhioHealth.  WHIO
