Clark State College holds auditions for its production Peter and the Starcatcher at the Clark State Performing Arts Center (300 S.
Fountain Ave) at 7 p.m. on Sept. 1 with callbacks at 7 p.m. on Sept. 2; auditionees should prepare a one to two-minute monologue and song.

On Aug. 20, authorities deported more than 160 people to Haiti + two local Haitians were among them; one father of two was detained outside his home on Aug.
13 after missing his asylum hearing.
🏥 Health
Community members, school officials and partners marked the opening of a new dental clinic provided by the School District and Rocking Horse Community Health Center on Friday, Aug.
21 at the School Based Health Center at Springfield High School — 701 E. Home Road.
The Ohio Department of Health said cyclospora cases have slowed in August to about 400 new cases a week, which remains far above the normal 70.
Local farmers’ markets have seen more shoppers as officials urge everyone to wash produce and monitor recalls.
