- ➤ Clark State College welcomed over 4,300 students today as classes began for the fall semester and expects final enrollment to top 5,000 once all courses fill—growth in both new and returning students was noted in key programs such as health care and manufacturing. Springfield News-Sun

- ➤ Clark County will kick off its drive sober campaign with a sobriety checkpoint on Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on U.S. Route 40 near mile post 11 in Springfield Twp — law enforcement agencies urge drivers to plan ahead with a sober driver or ride-sharing service to keep roads safe. - ➤ More than 100 local candidates have been certified for Ohio’s Nov.4 election, with several races closely contested while others lack enough candidates—voters will have a range of contested and uncontested choices.
