Clark County voters approved new taxes last year to fund a $90M project for Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center, and school leaders are planning a new building on the 60-year-old campus at 1901 Selma Road.

Construction is set to begin in spring 2026 and the design will add classrooms and specialized academies like agriculture—engineering.

Firefighter and paramedic Sean Beedy retired after 25 years of service in Springfield, and his long career was honored by Fire Chief Jacob King—he shook Beedy's hand during the farewell ceremony on August 29.
