- ➤ Two people were injured in a crash in Champaign County over the weekend when a 33-year-old driver from North Lewisberg failed to yield at the intersection of U.S. 36 and State Route 559—resulting in an SUV striking another car and the 12-year-old passenger being treated for minor injuries while the other driver was taken to a medical center. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Columbus homicide suspect Andre Jordan II, 34, was indicted on attempted murder of a federal agent after he engaged in a several-hour standoff at the Quality Inn in Springfield on Aug. 14—he remains in Franklin County Jail. Springfield News-Sun
