- ➤ Bryan Szekacs, a Clark-Shawnee teacher and musician known for his passion and kindness, died after battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. A memorial service is scheduled for Oct. 4 at Grace Lutheran Church—visitation starts at noon and the service follows at 2 p.m. Springfield News-Sun

Pink Powder Puff 'Boo Away Cancer'
The NE FFA will be holding our 13 Annual Pink Powder Puff event on Saturday, October 25th at 2:30 PM at Conover field to benefit the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark/Champaign Counties. Over the last 12 years, we have raised over $143,000 for the endowment. Along with the football games, we will have chicken and noodles in the concessions plus raffle and silent auction items, admission is just $5 per person.
