CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ This fall, library card holders can use their card to attend free live shows with the Stage for All program. The program offers 16 tickets per show at the Clark State Performing Arts Center—tickets are available on a first-come basis. Springfield News-Sun
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Clark County school districts are worried that the override of Governor DeWine’s veto may limit replacement and emergency levies—essential to funding public education and keeping class sizes small. Superintendents from Clark-Shawnee, Greenon, Northeastern and Tecumseh say if the state allows the change, schools, including those in Springfield, will face tougher cuts and a risk to quality programs. Pink Powder Puff 'Boo Away Cancer'
The NE FFA will be holding our 13 Annual Pink Powder Puff event on Saturday, October 25th at 2:30 PM at Conover field to benefit the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark/Champaign Counties. Over the last 12 years, we have raised over $143,000 for the endowment. Along with the football games, we will have chicken and noodles in the concessions plus raffle and silent auction items, admission is just $5 per person.
