- ➤ Greater Springfield Partnerships hosted the first Discovery Days event to connect Clark and Champaign County students with local employers in IT, business, finance, marketing, and real estate. Students took skill tests and joined interactive activities including a competition modeled after Shark Tank — they pitched business ideas to local employers. Springfield News-Sun
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A statewide seasonal burn ban is in effect during October and November—limiting open burning between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to dry, breezy conditions—and a similar ban applies in March, April, and May. WHIO

Halloween Yoga
4:30-6 p.m. — Betty — $20 — Enjoy a cozy Halloween-themed yoga class with candlelight, gentle flow, and a spooky soundtrack.

Pink Powder Puff 'Boo Away Cancer'
The NE FFA will be holding our 13 Annual Pink Powder Puff event on Saturday, October 25th at 2:30 PM at Conover field to benefit the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark/Champaign Counties. Over the last 12 years, we have raised over $143,000 for the endowment. Along with the football games, we will have chicken and noodles in the concessions plus raffle and silent auction items, admission is just $5 per person.
