EDUCATION NEWS

  • Mechanicsburg Exempted Village Schools earned the highest performance index in Champaign County on the 2024-25 state report card—boosting their five-year graduation rate to 98.6% and raising college-career readiness from 74% to 82% while maintaining a 4-star overall rating for the third year in a row.  Springfield News-Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, the Ohio Department of Development accepted applications for a tax credit program that covers half of approved training costs up to $25,000 for companies offering CDL training. The program, established under House Bill 66, will run through 2026—applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.  WHIO

  • Pink Powder Puff 'Boo Away Cancer'

    The NE FFA will be holding our 13 Annual Pink Powder Puff event on Saturday, October 25th at 2:30 PM at Conover field to benefit the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark/Champaign Counties. Over the last 12 years, we have raised over $143,000 for the endowment. Along with the football games, we will have chicken and noodles in the concessions plus raffle and silent auction items, admission is just $5 per person.
