On October 12th, a local gas station sold a $50K winning scratch-off lottery ticket—reports indicate the winner will receive about $36,437.50 after state and federal taxes.

Springfield City School District will not collect a five-year, 1.5 mill school improvement levy on the November ballot after a recent Ohio Supreme Court ruling resolved its dispute over tax funds from a previous bond.
The school board passed a resolution +guaranteeing that even if voters approve the levy, no additional taxes are collected+.

Pink Powder Puff 'Boo Away Cancer'
The NE FFA will be holding our 13 Annual Pink Powder Puff event on Saturday, October 25th at 2:30 PM at Conover field to benefit the Breast Cancer Endowment Fund of Clark/Champaign Counties. Over the last 12 years, we have raised over $143,000 for the endowment. Along with the football games, we will have chicken and noodles in the concessions plus raffle and silent auction items, admission is just $5 per person.

11 AM – 3 PM — Wittenberg University — Free entry — Support a non-profit working to raise awareness about POTS and its impact on lives.
National Philanthropy Day 2025
12-1:30 p.m. — Festival Green Clubhouse — Lunch provided — Celebrate local philanthropy and support community impact with an online silent auction.
