- ➤ Actress Marsha Dietlein — a Springfield native and longtime performer — will introduce her holiday films at the State Theater at 19 S. Fountain Ave. in Springfield. The theater will host free Monday movie nights showing holiday classics on Dec. 8, Dec. 15, and Dec. 22. Springfield News-Sun

- ➤ Cherish Hospice launched a program to honor military veterans with personal pinning and coining ceremonies in Springfield and Dayton—each event follows proper military etiquette and includes certificates, pins, and challenge coins offered at care facilities like the Dayton VA Medical Center. Cherish will continue hosting these ceremonies throughout the year while partnering with the We Honor Veterans program. Springfield News-Sun
