COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Springfield YMCA will officially join the YMCA of Greater Dayton on Jan. 1 as approved by the City Commission — members will continue using all regional programs with lower fees and planned facility upgrades. Springfield News-Sun
- ➤ Leadership Clark County established a new endowment fund at the Springfield Foundation to enhance long-term community leadership programs. Executive director Leigh Anne Lawrence said the fund will support training and development for future local leaders. Springfield News-Sun
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ In September, Clark County commissioners voted 2 to 1 to ban large wind and solar farms from unincorporated townships for at least two years (the ban expires on Dec. 31, 2027) as residents seek to preserve farmland in the area. Springfield News-Sun
