Mathews and his family opened Mathews Family Farm Market at 2604 Springfield-Xenia Road, moving from a small seasonal stand to a permanent storefront to grow his agribusiness dreams. The market will sell local produce, eggs, baked goods, seasonal items, and handmade products — its grand opening includes food trucks, live music, giveaways, and a petting zoo with hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, Springfield police responded to a shots-fired call on the east side, finding numerous shell casings in a driveway+ stray bullets lodged in two nearby homes+ bystanders reported seeing two vehicles flee as SWAT collected evidence and the investigation remains ongoing. - ➤ Clark State College was awarded a $180,871 grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education to buy new manufacturing equipment and expand its training in robotics, engineering, and industrial technology.
