Springfield YMCA will officially join the YMCA of Greater Dayton on Jan.
1 as approved by the City Commission — members will continue using all regional programs with lower fees and planned facility upgrades.
Leadership Clark County established a new endowment fund at the Springfield Foundation to enhance long-term community leadership programs.
Executive director Leigh Anne Lawrence said the fund will support training and development for future local leaders.
🏛️ Government
In September, Clark County commissioners voted 2 to 1 to ban large wind and solar farms from unincorporated townships for at least two years (the ban expires on Dec.
31, 2027) as residents seek to preserve farmland in the area.
